A pink petal carpet

 A pink petal carpet

I recently joined a family to take some photos of their daughter at Westonbirt Arboretum. At our first meeting this little girl was quite quiet, but the second time I got to see her true character and she ended up loving the camera!

The rhododendrons were out when these images were captured, and at one point we found a carpet of pink petals which was just the most amazing natural backdrop for images I could have asked for.

An early evening walk.

 An early evening walk.

Last week I had the privilege to photograph another cousin of mine, and her husband and beautiful daughter. We took a walk to the park in the late evening sunshine, and I captured some images of all three of them having fun together.  These three kindly agreed to me taking their photos, so that I could submit an assignment for a course on Wedding photography that I am currently doing. Although married 8 years, I think these images portray the great love they still have for each other.

Charlotte Bellamy is now an official Cherubs photographer

I am so excited and pleased to announce that I have been accepted as a Cherubs photographer in Gloucestershire.

Cherubs is the UK's longest running baby photography promotion - established by the Master Photographers Association in 1993.

By joining the Cherub’s scheme you have a great opportunity to capture those important moments as your baby grows up over their first year. I will join you in your home on three different occasions during your baby’s 12-18 months. Creating beautiful relaxed and natural images that will capture moments in your baby’s first year, that will provide memories that you will cherish for a life time.

After the final photo session you will receive a beautiful Art Leather triple folio, with my compliments. It will contain 3 images recording the development of your child: first when they are a few months old, once they can sit up, and then when they can stand. You are more than welcome to purchase extra photographs from each sitting, but there is absolutely no obligation to do so.

Plus: free entry into “Cherub of the year” – could your baby be Cherub of the year? £10,000 cash prize! Plus, twenty £25.00 shopping vouchers will also be awarded on a quarterly basis (80 in total).

I am so excited to be able to offer this opportunity to local mums. So often people thing of photography as stuffy or expensive. I offer an experience which is neither.

As an experienced baby photographer I know the best environment to get stunning images of children is in the child's home - This ensures both you and your baby are at your most relaxed. I can fit in around your schedule rather than the other way around. Plus I hold CRB certification, for your peace of mind.

Feel free to involve other family members in the photo session experience at no cost. I will create beautiful images of not only your baby, but the bond between them and mum and dad and/or older siblings.

By taking part in the Cherubs scheme with me you will save yourself £205. A one off Registration Fee of £25 applies, which may be redeemed against prints from your first photo session.

A pre Cherubs baby photo session

A pre Cherubs baby photo session

A number of families joining the Cherubs photographic programme with me, have opted for a new baby photo session in addition to the free sessions they receive as part of the scheme. This way, they capture images of their new baby within the first few weeks of their life. Recording the special bond they share, and of course the tiny toes, and fingers; all images that they will cherish and will come to realise were such fleeting moments in their child’s life as he or she grows up.

This little fella was very relaxed about life and enjoyed nothing more than resting over dad’s shoulder and walking around!

As with all young baby photo sessions, I like to capture images which appear to look very natural. I do very little posing of babies, thus allowing them (and their parents) to remain relaxed and enjoy the photographic experience. I often use parents as the back drops to baby images, and love showing newborn hands and feet cradled in mum and dad’s hands thus showing their tiny size in relation to their parents hands!
